Jim Mahfood alias Food One est illustrateur/dessinateur de comic-books/muraliste/performer artistique vivant à Los Angeles. Il est le créateur du style artistique connu sous le nom de Visual Funk: un mélange hybride de comix, graffiti, manga, art urbain et culture funk. A lui seul Jim a introduit la performance live dans le milieu des comic-books américains.
Food a travaillé pour tous les principaux éditeurs de comics et sa bibliographie comprend Clerks, Grrl Scouts, Stupid Comics, Felt, Bad Ideas, plusieurs titres Spider-Man books pour Marvel, One Page Filler Man, Kick Drum Comix, Carl, the Cat That Makes Peanut Butter Sandwiches et plus. Ses illustrations ont été publiées dans des magazines allant de Playboy à MAD Magazine en passant par BPM et bien d'autres. Il a peint des fresques murales dans des endroits comme l'immeuble de Spike TV, Munky King toys, the Sarah Silverman Program sur Comedy Central. His illustrations have appeared in magazines ranging from Playboy to MAD Magazine, to BPM, and so on. He's painted murals in such locations as the Spike TV building, Munky King toys, and the Sarah Silverman Program on Comedy Central.
